Where does our coaching take place?

Coaching is either via Zoom, or at a location within Cambridge city. We will agree the location and timing that best suits you in our initial informal chat, which will be via phone or Zoom.

What time commitment will I need to make to coaching?

Every coaching engagement is dependent on the needs of the client. We would discuss what's right for you in our initial conversation.

However, as a general guide, coaching sessions would be 60 minutes. Typically, around 4-6 sessions can provide the change in thinking you require in order to create your strategy, set goals and plan the actions towards making the change you want to see.

In addition to committing to our meetings, it's important that you are prepared to invest the time in between sessions to the actions and thinking that will support your progress.

I'm a project manager. How can you help me?

With my background in project and programme management, I support and coach project managers to thrive and respond effectively through their challenges.

Coaching can help you whether you're new to project management, juggling too many plates, managing challenging stakeholders, or hoping to step up to a leadership role.

Do you offer a package of coaching sessions?

In our initial conversation, we would discuss the right approach for you as a unique individual.

I offer a Career Strengthening project particularly suited to those who have not had the benefit of coaching before. This is an ideal kick start to the change you want to make, harnessing your personal portfolio of strengths. This comprises six sessions, plus the rich and detailed Strengths Profile (which is included in the package and you will complete it in your own time.)

How does coaching differ from therapy?

I’ve been asked by clients what the boundary is between coaching and therapy/counselling.

Coaching has some elements in common with therapeutic work. For example, self-awareness is key. We may also consider the past, where it’s relevant to progressing your current situation and where it is helpful to you. However, in contrast to therapy, coaching conversations will not typically seek to understand and explain the past. Our focus in coaching will be looking forward.

Another way in which coaching can have touchpoints with therapy is that everyday life is full of emotions. We may seek greater awareness of these emotions, and the useful information they provide to you, during our conversations.

Please note that I am not trained to diagnose and treat emotional and mental health issues. If this is relevant to you, I will encourage you to seek appropriate alternative professional support.

What is financial coaching?

The blend of coaching and planning through working with me as your money coach is a fantastic way to create a brighter future.

I love helping people see that managing your finances need not be difficult if you approach it one step at a time.

I’m an accredited financial coach with Octopus Money. If you'd like to know more about money coaching,

helping you take action towards financial wellbeing, please visit my profile and booking page on Octopus Money.

So, what next?

First, I suggest a short, informal chat about coaching and what I can offer you.

It's important that you understand what coaching will involve, and that you feel I'd be the right coach to help you develop.
